How to check Aadhar Seeding status??
Adhar website
- Visit the official website of aadhar https://resident.uidai.gov.in/bank-mapper
- Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number or 16 digit Virtual ID and enter the captcha code
- Click on “Send OTP”. enter the opt aadhar seeding / linking status with bank. The page will appear as below shown
- You can also download aadhar from this website

Download mAadhar app from google play store
- Log in to mAadhaar app
- Click ‘My Aadhaar’
- Then, select ‘Aadhaar-Bank Account Link Status’
- Enter Aadhaar number, security code, and click ‘Request OTP’
- Enter OTP sent to registered mobile number and click ‘Verify’ to check status

By calling Aadhar help desk
- Dial *99*99*1# from Aadhaar registered mobile number
- Enter Aadhaar number
- After submitting, check the status of Adhar linked to bank
How to link bank account with Aadhar for aadhar seeding?
If Aadhaar is not linked to your bank account then you can do the following steps to link it immediately
Through net banking and mobile banking app
- log in to net banking or the mobile banking app using your username and password
- Search for service request and select Aadhar updation
- Enter Aadhar number then verify using otp and click ‘Submit’
Through SMS
- Send message as <UIDAadhar_number><Account number> to 567676
- you will get message from bank tom see if Adhar number is linked or not
Visit your nearest branch
Go to the bank branch where you have an account, fill out the consent form, and submit it.
The bank will verify your details and documents, and link your Aadhaar number to your account
Through mobile banking
- Log in to your bank’s customer mobile app
- Go to ‘Services’ tab
- Visit ‘View/Update Aadhaar card details’
- Enter Aadhar number twice
- Click ‘Submit.’ A confirmation message will be sent
Aadhar Seeding
Important note
- visit the bank if seeding status is not yet updated despite submitting the documents to the bank
- customer can do complaint to following mail id if concerns are not yet updated for Adhar seeding issue npci.dbtl@npci.org.in with received copy provided by the bank.
- dbt benefits or the subsidy will be credited to the last seeded Bank with which the status is active in NPCI mapper.
- if seeding status shows inactive this means the seeding is not yet updated. one has to go to the bank and update the same at earliest
- we can do seeding of Aadhar number to only one bank account. multiple seeding is not possible. you can change the Aadhar seeding from one bank to another
